About Me
Hi, I’m McKenna! For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a teacher because I believe every student deserves to feel confident and supported, no matter their starting point. I love working with kids and helping them reach that “light bulb” moment when learning finally clicks. After spending two years in a 3rd-grade classroom, I discovered how much I enjoy working with students one-on-one and seeing their growth up close. As a tutor, my approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each child’s unique needs—whether we’re focusing on reading or math. My goal is to make learning feel less like a chore and more like an exciting journey, so every student walks away not just smarter, but also proud of themselves.
Outside of tutoring, I love being outdoors—whether it’s hiking, enjoying time on the lake, or exploring new places across Colorado and beyond. I’m also a big music fan (Red Rocks is my favorite spot on a warm summer night!), and I treasure time spent with friends and family. Community means everything to me, and I bring that same sense of connection and care into my work with every student.
I look forward to partnering with families and students to create meaningful learning experiences, build confidence, and celebrate progress every step of the way. Together, we can make learning something to be proud of!
My mission is to guide students to success with patience, encouragement, and personalized support.
“Elementary students who received tutoring gained an average of 4-6 additional months of learning compared to their peers.”
